A postdoctoral position is available to a highly motivated individual who is passionate about science, able to work independently and creatively, and has the experimental skills needed in structural biology. There are projects available in several areas including both prokaryotic and eukaryotic DNA transposition systems and other nucleic acid transactions. In addition, we are interested in examining the mechanisms of the emergence of antibiotic resistance.
This position is suitable for a recent PhD, preferably but not necessarily with some experience in structural biology, who has a strong background in chemistry, biochemistry, or biophysics. Our group is part of the Laboratory of Molecular Biology, and offers an interdisciplinary environment with plenty of opportunities to interact with other scientists with diverse interests. If interested please send CV, bibliography, and a brief statement describing your research interests to Fred.Dyda@nih.gov
